Yumcha with my UPM vet friends on Sat night.. Nothing special about the yumcha.. It was just an outing to "chui sui" or blow water with my friends..

What special is the-after-yumcha-stuff.. Because Michiyo was not local (she is from Sarawak and followed Evonne back here), so I brought her to "gai - gai" around Teluk Intan. Brought her to many places around town.. Then while going around town.. many sweet memories started to come back to me..

Brought her to my secondary school, SMK Horley Methodist. It had been more than a year since I last drive past the road. Then it was like going down memory lane.. That's the place that I spent for the pass 7 years before studying in MMU. Ahhh.. The good old days.. Remembered all my "cikgu".. Studies.. St John.. Friends.. Do miss them now.. I only get to see my friends 3 times a year (Raya, CNY and during June break)

Then it was SMK St Anthony and SMK Convert. All these three schools are neighbouring schools within the same area. Oh ya. With Chinese, Malay and Christian graveyards (kubur) nearby as well. The Christian cemetery is in between my school and St Anthony school. How's that for a school? Cool huh? Eh.. now that I remember.. Alex's class was next to the cemetery during his 2 years in Form 6. Should we ask him if he hear anything weird? (I don't dare to ask!)

I don't know if it is because it was night time but me and Evonne started to share our school famous ghost story after that. My school's bengkel (workshop) was rumoured to have weird machinery sound at night. Also there are reports of weird green lights around the area. There is also a story of the teacher who committed suicide in the toilet it night.(It has since been locked and closed). Also there will be sound of a piano playing at the dewan. My school don't even have a piano! Oh ya. That was my classroom during Form 5. +.+ Don't you think that my school need Ghostbusters?

Now to our neighbouring schools. Well St Anthony is popular for its "marching" sounds at night. (bunyi orang kawad kaki) Students having camp in the school often heard of the marching sound at night. It was rumoured that it was a Japenese army camp during World War 2. Then SMK Convert is popular for its half body ghost. Yes!! Hantu Setengah Badan.. Evonne said many of her friends had seen the ghost "floating" when they held camps there. Scary huh? Thank god I never camped in the school before. Then there is also the story of her school's toilet. But she was stopped before she could finish talking. Michiyo was scared to death at that time. (Actually I am wondering if she can finish reading until this part. HAHA)

So next stop is "Shanghai Beach". It was actually a playground beside the river. That's how it got it nickname. That is the place where me and my friends used to hang out and chat at night. There was once two policemen knocked on our car window and then asked for our IC. It was dark there and there is only one girl in our group. The rest is 4 boys. So.. use your imagination what can happen in such circumstances.. Hehe. But seriously.. NOTHING bad you imagined happened. ;p

Then we just drove and drove.. explaining what is this.. what is that.. (I am practicing my skills of tourguiding ^.^) until we reached two famous brigde of Teluk Intan. One crossing the Sungai Bidor and another crossing over the railway.. Took a turn into the bridge crossing over the river. That's the place where you get to see firefly if you are lucky. (Who says you need to go to Kuala Selangor to see them?) It was also the place where me and my friends used to hang out at night after yum cha. I don't know if it is because I am old or what.. Being in such dark place really scares me. There is no light and no one nearby to help you if anything happened. I wonder how can I be so brave when I was young..

Then when we were about to reach Evonne's house, I took turn to the padang (in front of PBHP) which is a popular place to jog. That is also a place where we used to walk and talk. We didn't sit there because of the mosquitoes. So you have to keep moving to avoid them. Then I came to one conclusion.. GOD!!! When I was small.. All I know is to yumcha and chat with them. It seem like we don't have much to play. But those moments (especially after my SPM until before Form 6) were one of the best of my life.. Sweet memories.. That's why I am blogging them now.. So that I won't forget them..

Well readers, Raya is not only a holiday for you, it is also a time for you to meet up and catch up with your friends. But be wise.. Finals is next week.. ^.^

Got a "date" with my grandma today.. Parents went to a wedding dinner so Grandma asked me out for dinner. Initially.. she wanted to eat KFC. Yes.. NOT me.. But my grandma WANTED KFC.. She said she didn't eat that for a long time already. But I think it was supposed to be 3 months ago la.. Because the last time I brought her there was during my 3rd sem holiday..

Anyway we didn't had KFC for dinner.. Because when we arrive there (730pm - "buka puasa" time) it was so packed with people that there was no place to sit. So we got no choice but to change our dinner place. Went to Hoover Coffee House. Once a very popular Western restaurant back in my father's days.. Still remember Grandpa always bring me there when I was young. That was almost fifteen years ago.. That's also how long he had left us..

The restaurant is famous for its Chicken Chop. So whenever my family and I went there, we will only order Chicken Chop. So me and Granny ordered 2 Chicken Chops and 1 fried noodle. Yup.. TWO people eating THREE people food.. My granny can eat more than you can imagine. Hehe. The chicken chop is not small.. Bigger than what you get at HB3 Western Stall. For non-MMU readers, just imagine that it is BIG la.. Hehe. Paiseh a..

The great thing about this dinner is that you seldom see a young guy (21 years) and an old lady (80 years) eating together. Just the two of them. Also, my granny can still eat so much consider she is so old already. For your info, she can still talk louder than me! Up until she was 76 years old.. She can still drive around town to go play mahjong at her friend's house. She is indeed.. KUAT I should say..

During dinner we had small talks about.. Virtually everything.. Gossip about her friends.. Our family news update.. My study.. Even my up-coming Penang trip as well.. ^.^ It was nice to have dinner with your granny and chat with her. Spent some quality time together. Considering that I don't have much time and chance now that I am studying in MMU.

After the dinner.. as we were walking to the car.. she asked me to hold her hand as she walked. She said she is now old.. Felt weak to walk.. Need someone to support her while walking. Then I realised that she is getting weaker as the years go by.. She is my only grandma left.. 2 grandpas and 1 granny is already in heaven.. Got some kind of special feeling during the 4 minutes slow walk.. So readers.. When you are in hometown.. pay your grandparents a visit to remind her that you care for her!

Oh ya.. while I was walking my granny.. suddenly Jay Chou's song, 外婆 popped into my head..

Love your family! (This message is brought to you by Hong's Little Diary Community Service)

So on 21st September 2008, my coursemates and I went to Melaka for our historic first-ever-one-day-trip!! WoooOO HooOOOO!!!!
It is indeed a fun trip with lots of sweat, laughter, food and enjoyment. Oh ya. I did learn something from this trip. Gonna share with you guys what I learned at the end of this blog. Just like my previous trips (Singapore & Genting) I will let the photos to do the talking. A picture paints a thousand words..

First stop of the day
~Seremban~
Stopped at Seremban for our breakfast. Shinyi brought us to the famous "Yee Poh Lou Shu Fun" restaurant in her hometown. Too bad she didn't follow us to Melaka. Sigh. Missed her laughter in the trip though. And we forget to take our routine high com photo.with her. But never mind that. We still got plenty of chances. As Sushi said, "we still got 2 years.." Hehe

Handmade "Lou shu fun". (Mouse Noodle in English or Mee Tikus in BM) Remarks : No mouse were harm during the process. Taste okay at a reasonable price. But the most memorable thing is that the drinks seller (an aunty) chatted with us as if we are very close. Out of sudden she came to our table and talked to Jia Yun. (Which stunned her as she was concentrating watching the television) Anyway the aunty is a nice lady.

Next Stop
~Ayer Keroh, Melaka~
So Cyberjaya MMU students.. this is how MMU Melaka looks like. Had never been to MMU Melaka before so that's our first destination of the day. By the way, doesn't it resemble the Balai Polis? With blue and white theme, I would have identified it as the Balai Polis had not been for the logo at the top of the building. MMU Melaka is quite an old university with shabby look. MMU Cyber is definitely better in terms of facilities than Melaka.

[2nd Floor] That's me and Sushi walking towards the study table after getting a book.

Hehe. Two "good" students studying in the library halfway the trip. We got FAR quiz the next day.. Don't believe that we are studying?

[Ground Floor] Melaka Lib really looks similar to Cyber Lib in some ways. But Melaka Lib is a 3 storey building but it is shorter and not as wide as Cyber's. Oh ya. Cyber definitely has comfier chairs. For your info, Cyber Lib is my favourite place to sleep. ^.^

All in all we wasted about one and a half hour in MMU Melaka. Eventhough it is smaller compared to Cyber but it is more compact. We got lost somewhere in the middle of our tour around Melaka campus. Paiseh. But I am still wondering how we can spend such long time in the campus...

Next stop
~Jonker Walk, Pusat Bandaraya Melaka~
By the time we finishing touring MMU Melaka, our "Mee Tikus" is already fully digested. So we continue our Operasi Cari Makan..

While queueing for the chicken rice, have a look at the trishaw. If you are a foreigner, it is a must for you to take the ride. It is something rare that you don't have everyday. But if you are a local, ride your own bicycle la.. Don't waste money la.. ;p

At the chicken rice shop, our first group photo of the day..

Interior of the shop with wooden table and stools.. Classic!!

Coconut water on a sunny hot day.. Marvellous!!!

By looking at this photo.. it just makes my tummy growls again.. So we got chicken in soy sauce, chicken RICEball (it looks like FISHball but it is not FISHball) and Asam Fish Head. If you want to eat the chicken rice the authentic Hainanese style, you must eat with "Kicap Hitam". [As taught by Sushi] A nice meal indeed. For more Melaka chicken rice story, please click --> ME!

After makan. it is time for jalan - jalan at Jonker Walk. A typical souvenir selling stall..

Have you heard of Biskut Ketuk? It is a very hard and sticky type of biscuit. So much so that you need a hammer to knock them. Doesn't taste very sweet but quite nice to eat like sweets. Reminder for you : Don't chew the biscuit or it will stick to your teeth. Also, ketuk sebelum makan. It is biskut ketuk right? ^.^

After walking, time for our tea break!! Cendol Campur!! Ahh... Leganya...

Another group photo..

Boss.. Boleh derma tak? Kami pelajar miskin.. Takde duit mau bayar yuran.. Sudah kena bar..

"Call me God!" That's what Chit Pei like to say during her 1st and 2nd semester during 1st year. Haha.

Kota A Fomosa..

Say cheese inside Kota A Famosa. Photo taken by a 70 year old uncle. I was wondering if he knew how to take photo but to my suprise he knew it! But notice his finger covering part of the lense..

Help!! I don't know who Anohito is!! Don't kill me!! (For more 'anohito' story please read the ending of the story)

WeIrD PhOtO.. The two behind and the two in front doesn't seem to be taking photo together. But it is my only photo together with Shiyun.. So takpe la..

Next Station
~Jonker Walk at night~
Jonker at night is like a pasar malam. With stalls selling souvenirs at the starting and middle part and food at the ending of the street. Memorable things from this street is the key chain uncle who "lectured" us on two topic which is "Melaka's Biggest Jaya Jusco" and "female driver is the worse than male driver". Spend almost 15 minutes standing at the street listening to them. @.@

[Front Part] My one and only thing that I bought for myself, a HP pouch. See the cow? Its name is Woo Woo. ^.^

[Back] My name written on the behind of the pouch. Special?

So goodbye Jonker.. See you next sem!!

Final Stop of the Day
~Capitol Satay Celup~
If you are in Melaka, Satay celup is a must have dinner! Nice dinner..

Operasi Celup - Celup.. Two chinese girls.. Two Malay girls & One Indian guy..

We have finally come to the end of the story. It is a very nice trip indeed. With a lots of nice food and nice thing to see, it is very enjoyable with a lot of laughter and sampat things as usual. Though I was hoping that Anohito can join me in the trip, but it is still a good trip. Hehe. Oh ya. Story of Anohito rite? Well anohito means "that person" in Japenese. It is used as "kata ganti" if you don't want to use "him" or "her". It works well for Jia Yun. Hehe. Another thing that I learn from the trip is how to "start engine". If someone is very quiet in the trip, just say the magic word "XXX XXXX" and believe it or not, one person will start talking immediately with lots of excitement. Hehe.
Signing off..
~Melaka Trip, 21/9/2008~

Credits to Chit Pei for the photos. Click ME! to read her version of the Melaka trip.

Do you know what a Jump Shot is? Well it is a photograph shot of yourself while jumping in the air. How is it done? Well there's an example below..

Now this is a bad jump shot. Notice that the first and second person on the left in the photo is not jumping high enough. Merely lifting up a bit. But the third person is EVEN worse. One of her foot is still on the ground!!! This is very wrong. I will teach you the correct way to jump.

This is how you are supposed to jump. Jump with all your might. If possible bend your legs behind. See how high it can be? It will be as if you are floating on the air! Free yourself. Relax. Feel the air. Don't think too much about your pose. Be natural!

So after a lesson or two, you should be able to have such photo of yours too. Just remember to be yourself and free your heart!!

~Jump shot~

Jeng..

Presenting..
Forever 21
The new band has arrived in town!!!
With their debut album "Forever 21"..
Be sure to grab one of the CD's in music stores nearby!

Preparing myself for next sem's Cyberpreneurship. So practicing how to sell things now. Hehe. Well that's me and my friends last Saturday at Sunway Pyramid at 1.11am. We just finished watching movies and were walking to the carpark when we walked passed the store. And then I was thinking.. "Hey.. I am 21 this year.. Why not take a photo to remind me of myself at 21?" So there we go... Taking a memorable photo.. Which in fact is full of stories to tell.. Look again at the photo and see our clothing. All with sandals/slippers. All with shorts. More suitable to go the pasar beli sayur than go to a shopping mall. Me and Winson look like some kid who had just come out from Kampung. Haha. But it was not on purpose. There is a story to it.. Anyway just want to remind you readers that time flies.

So treasure every minute and every second of your life!! Live life to the fullest!!! ^.^

Had fever since yesterday morning.. Must be because of the satay celup + I didn't drink enough water + not enough sleep on Saturday. Or maybe it is the curry mutton I had for lunch? Hmm.. Well I slept for more than 12 hours yesterday and today. Had nightmares during sleeping. What a sad life I had?? Sigh..

Felt weak now.. So much so that I feel so tire to talk to my coursemates that I only use body language to talk to them; by nodding and shaking my head. Or just a simple smile as a sign of agreement or to say hello. So the "me" now is totally different from the normal noisy "me" that you all know.

Having fever but still going to class, it suddenly remind me of my Standard 6 class teacher, Puan Alice. Still remember what she told my mum during Meet The Parents session. She said that the only time that I am quiet is when I am sick. The whole class will be very quiet for that day. But she will feel weird and boring that day. Hehe. So I think she is trying to imply that I VERY noisy? As I am typing this paragraph, I seriously missed all my small kids days in Horley Methodist. So many sweet memories with my friends. Studying in 6 Biru, we were the "Kings" in our school. Even the Guru Besar also sayang all of us. Hehe.

But thank god that this time I didn't have an asthma attack. The last attack was during Form 4. Hopefully I can recover soon. Praying hard for that. Wondering whether I can go "Xia Yu Tian" this Wednesday..

Poor doggie.. Due to old age.. Her teeth is now falling down.. Kesian anjingku.. See the circled part of the photo. She is 11 years old now.. That's means 77 years of human age. So it is normal for an old grandma like my doggie to lose some teeth.. I wonder if I will need to make a denture for her soon if all her teeth starts to fall? Haiz..

Anyway.. here's a song for my cute little but old doggie
Girlie's teeth is falling down..
Falling down..
Falling down..
Girlie's teeth is falling down..
My poor doggie..

God I miss my stupid little dog!!! I wana go back hometown d!!!! >.<

Something really funny and surprising occurred to me while I was in the midst of my AA session. AA here stands for Academic Advisor. For the sake of non MMU readers, I will explain about AA. MMU people can skip this paragraph. Well AA is something like a counsellor but they are actually lecturers. MMU students have to meet them at least once a semester and then the AA will assess and evaluate you. Marks of 1 to 5 for each criteria will be given. If you don't meet your AA that particular semester, you will be barred from registering course for next semester... Enough said.. Back to main topic, shall we?

So during the assessment today, when it comes to the Interpersonal Skills part, the shock of the day happened. Below is the conversation between my AA and me.

AA : So.. Do you always make people angry?
Me : (Shocked for a few seconds because I never expect such question) Erm.. Occasionally I guess. Among my coursemates.. Why?
AA : Have you made someone mad at you lately?
Me : (Excited) Yaya!!! (Started to whisper slowly) You know the girl who came in before me just now? Well she was angry with me yesterday. She asked me to accompany her to go for karaoke but I refused. Then she was angry with me. I didn't promise to go with her in the first place. And my friends were blaming me as if it was my fault for making her so angry. I seriously don't know why she was angry with me.
AA : Well she is your girlfriend? (Painted a cheeky smile on her face)
Me : No.. That's why I don't know why she is angry with me.
AA : Well then she maybe is in love with you? (Painted a cheeky smile on her face AGAIN)
Me : (Laughter) She is attached la.. How is that possible? Now do you see my point in why I don't understand why she is so angry with me?
AA : (Speechless) ...

Then she changed the topic and we continue our session. At the end, she rated me 4 out of 5 for my Interpersonal Skills with remarks "Take more leadership roles". But in my opinion, shouldn't it be "Don't always make people angry?" Haha..

Anyway, the girl who was angry with me was not angry anymore about 10 minutes after the session. And when I told her what happened to me (the conversation).. I finally understand something.. The reason my AA asked me that question in the first place!!! When she was inside, AA asked if there is anyone else outside. This girl replied, "there is still one STUPID guy outside." Now do you get it why she asked me "do you always make people angry?". =.="

By the way, I still don't know and don't understand why she was so angry with me yesterday. Well I guess I just have to transfer it to my "Book of thousands doubts about my coursemate" and hope that there will be some answers in the future..

As you all should know, I went to Kuala Selangor during Merdeka. Well it can be described in a few words ; boring, tiring, donating a lot of blood to mosquitoes, and lame. Never wanted to go there in the first place. But the good thing is that I made some new friends, get to see api - api lighting the trees like Xmas trees, and also have fun with Teresa and Shiyun. And that's all about it. Not uploading any photo or elaborate much about it. Takde mood untuk benda itu..

Well when I reached MMU, I discovered that all the food courts were closed. My stupid jiran went out with his DJ friends so it means that I will be all alone and there will not be dinner for me!!! WTH!!! I was thinking of Maggi and biscuits for dinner when my friend, Evonne started to chat with me. Then I said "Sien le.. Come MMU fetch me go your house la." And to my suprise she said "Okay". Terkejut aku!!! Ingatkan gurau aje.. Manatau benar2 datang and even let me stay at her place. Woot!!

So one hour later, Evonne and Michiyo came to MMU to fetch me and we had a dinner of japenese ramen at Bukit Serdang (real name but to MMU students it is Seri Kembangan). I ordered a big bowl and it only cost me RM4!! So cheap!! Then we went back to their house at Sri Serdang. Thank god Evonne's miserable roomate is not around (she went to Genting to curi makan. Haha) Watched Red Cliff with them but I end up sleeping halfway through. I don't know if the movie is boring or I am too tire. Need to watch it again now.. Sigh..

That's the photo of me sleeping taken by Michiyo. Adui.. Malunye..

So after waking up, we spend some time playing with Michiyo's pets, chatting and taking photographs until we have our lunch. Ate "Wah Tan Ho" and "paper wrapped chicken". Nice lunch. Hehe.

And now for the weird pets part..

Oh ya, did I tell you that Evonne and Michiyo are veterinary undergraduates from UPM? (veterinary = doctor for animals in lay men's term). So they are very friendly with animals and they have 3 weird pets at their house too.

WEIRD PET #1
Her name is CuteB (pronounced as Cu - bie) and she 7 years old now. Abandoned by its original owner but now adopted and cherished with love by Michiyo and housemates. A lovely pet but sometimes it acted weird. Just like my Girlie.. Old 'aunties' is like that. ^.^

See closely.. Do you realise that she is wearing a neck collar?

If you have problem seeing, well here is a clearly vision of CuteB with collar. That was to prevent her from licking her skin and fur which was applied medicine for her skin disease. By the way she looked cute with that neck collar. Should get one for Girlie too. ^.^

That is CuteB and her 'sister' named Mei Mei. Mei Mei was 'born' by Michiyo. When Michiyo tell me that, this is my response --> +.+" Suka2 pula lahir patung keluar.. Adui.. But seriously I like this photo a lot. CuteB is really cute in the photo la.. ^.^

Hi! My name is Mei Mei!! See my head clearly!! It is tainted with CuteB's saliva.. Uuhhh.. Gross!!!

WEIRD PET #2
Hamster.. Named Pau Pau or Ah Pau for short and I am fat. ^.^

Got bored in the house.. So me and Michiyo decided to torture the poor hamster!! Wakaka!!

Kita picit dia!!!
"Sakitttt!!!!" teriak Ah Pau.

Genggam dia macam sushi!!! Wakaka!! (evil laugh)
Dah mati.. X.X

Well the truth is we didn't torture Ah Pau. Was just joking. That's her balancing on my hand. Tiggling sensation..

Ah Pau's look after taking bath..

After dry cleaning.. doesn't it look cute? ^.^

WEIRD PET #3
Look closely.. do you know what it is? Don't tell me it is a sea cucumber. Have you heard of Sonic the Hedgehog? Okay.. How about porcupine?

Well it is a porcupine and its name is Mon Mon or Ah Mon for short. With sharp spines all around its body, you can't simply touch it. Don't touch its body!! It's not as friendly as Mariah Carey who wants people to touch her body. ^.^

Seriously when Michiyo told me that she had a hedgehog as a pet.. I was shocked! Who would want such thing as a pet? Then my heart was thinking "she is a really weird girl". Hehe. But she is actually kind hearted and cute. Like all her pets.

Here I would like to express my gratitude to Evonne and Michiyo for having me over at their place for the weekend. Really felt touched that you girls purposely came from UPM to fetch me and go to UPM. (Terharu~~ dah nangis dah T.T) Thanks for saving me from starvation in MMU and also letting me play with all your cute pets. Looking forward to the next trip ya.. ^.^
