Hong's Little Diary

That's me and Nigel.. The kid who never walks.. But good thing is that he will run back to you. He's just like a boomerang. At least I don't have to chase after him or tell the organising committee that I "lost" my kid.. Haha.

My lesson for the day. (1o in total)
1. Kids are harder to take care than dogs. They are 2.. NO!! 3 times harder than a dog!!!
2. Kids have two maybe three times the spirit and energy than a normal adult has.
3. Kids don't walk.. they RUN.. They don't sit.. They STAND and JUMP around..
4. To silent a kid.. Use cartoon and television.
5. When kids have a handphone in their hand, they will take photo and play games
It will get more serious from now on..
6. Kids at Shalom Home treasure Milo more than drinking water. Given a bottle of drinking water and a pack of Dutch Lady milk.. They will pour out the drinking water and fill it with the milk.
7. They don't have handphone, computer and television to watch daily (only on Friday and Saturday). So just be thankful if you have a Nokia 3310 and a 14 inch laptop to watch. And by the way.. don't complain that the internet line is slow. Those kids doesn't even have computer to use.
8. They don't really have much nice food to eat. So for those who say Jogoya sucks.. I doubt they had an oyster in their life before. Oh ya.. By the time you have finished reading this sentence, a kid in Africa is now dead due to starvation.
9. They are poor. They use 2nd maybe 3rd hand stuff. They don't have the money to buy expensive stuff. So for those who buy RM200 per shirt or RM400 for a handbag.. Think again.. RM200 maybe a school bag, shoes, school uniforms, trousers, shirts for one poor kid.
10. They are ORPHANS. So.. Everytime your mum or dad nags/stalk/scold you.. be thankful that there is still someone in the world who will care and love you!!!

The lessons learnt may only last for a few days.. 1 week max before people start being forgetful again and complain about this.. about that.. and never be thankful. It is really true if you think about it. It happens to most of the human kinds.

Oh ya.. one final lesson for all. THINK before you do "it". Well at least take contraceptive measures (prevent pregancies measures). Use a condom! Don't think of short term enjoyment and forget about the long term effect of having a child! It is no "play play business". That is why there are so many orphans in the world!!

17/4/2009 is indeed another Good Friday for me.. Better than the Friday the week before. How so? Well first of all, my Taxation class was cancelled! Wee~~~ No more boring class on Friday!! So what that means? Bring forward to my Friday activity that I have been waiting since.. THE DAY I CAME TO MMU.. A promise made to me ONE YEAR AGO by Sushi and 4 SEMESTER ago by Yap Ping Ying!!! Finally the day for me to go ice skating has arrived! Finally~~

I have only skated for once before this. Was not taught any professional or even an amateur. So this time around.. I still don't really know how to skate! But at least I don't need to hold the barriers at the side to "walk" around. An improvement le!!! Hehe. Seriously when you are on the ice rink, there is NO SENSE OF SECURITY in whatsoever manner!!! Every single moment I was only thinking whether I will fall on my next move or not. Haha.

So I fell 4 times if I didn't count wrongly. Landed on my buttock for 3 times. And on my last fall, it was on my kness and it was really dramatic. Coz I shouted "Aaahhhhh!!!!" when I fell which attracted unwanted attention from the people around me. CP, Cat, CS, SY kecil, JY were all looking at me and were stunned too I think. While falling, my spectacles somehow "flew" away and fell on the ground. Sat on the ice rink for a few seconds before trying to get up when I realised that there are many people skating towards me. Felt like a chicken crossing the road in the middle of the heavy traffic that time. Got two small bruises on my knees now. But it's okay.. I am a boy.. Haha.

Didn't take any photo during skating. The only photo taken was not yet available during publication of this blog. So the question to my VP again.. "When" can I get them?? =p

Skated until 6pm before rushing back to MMU for the Golden Key New Member Reception at 730pm. But during the rushing.. ChiewShi, ShiYun and I managed to de tour for a little McD Sundae session.. Hehe

It's really been a while since our last Sundae eh? Absence of 3 and 4 who are still happily skating at that moment.

The reception was 730pm and we reached MMU at 730pm sharp. Haha. Rushing again to clean and dress myself for 30 minutes. Reached the venue at 8pm and they have only just started. Haha.

Certificate presentation session.

Didn't have dinner before the event. So after the presentation of certificate, there is only one thing on my mind.. "WHEN" is the food coming?? Another when.. ^.^ Haha. When the foood finally arrived.. I was not really happy either. Because all I've got is NASI BATU. Dang!!! But I was too hungry to consider it that I ate everything.

Well after eating.. It is time for photography session of course.. But our own private limited session. Hehe

Couple of day. Both of us were wearing a quite similar black shirt with white stripes.

That's not all. In fact, there were 4 of us wearing the same colour that night. And it is all striped!! It is the same usual black Firday meeting. Hehe.

In fact, we did have an unofficial AGM for AFC that night. The new committees will be..

Ended the day with a Putrajaya mamak minum susu session with No2, 4 and 5. Chatted for 2 hours there before spending one hour driving around Putrajaya. Saw a really weird half moon. So much so that it feels fake. Not going to write much about it. Some things are best kept to yourself right? Hehe. I really enjoy myself that day!! Thanks to all my coursemates!!! Can't wait for tommorrow.. Lalala~~~

P.S. AFC high com.. Don't be happy now.. 4 of you are still work under me.. Especially my "Maid Fu".. =p

Restaurant City.. That's a game by Playfish in Facebook. Got seriously addicted to it. In short, you own a restaurant and employs your friends to work for you. Then you will gain point and money without having to do anything. So what is so fun about it? I don't know. I really don't. Haha.

Well.. that's not the main point today. Restaurant City (RC in short) went into maintainance at +1 GMT today.. So I can't play the game. Went into the RC forum and read one thread there about the maintance stuff. Then at the end of the topic.. I read many post reply asking people to add them. So since I am dead boring today, I decided to try my luck. So I posted my FB url in the thread like any else so that they can add me.

They add me so that they can get one free ingredient and I will also get one free ingredient when I visit them. Win win situation for both parties. It's for the game FYI.

I never thought that people will be seriously adding me as their "temporary friends". "Temporary" here means that they will delete you after one or two days. Within 30 minutes.. I got 12 "new" friends already!!! 3 females.. 9 males!! Gosh!! I seriously think that they are like refreshing the thread every 30 seconds stalking the forum!! It is Saturday and you spend your day hogging at some useless FB application? Get a life boys and girls..

Hey don't say I don't have a life too.. I got one!!! A study life!!!! And it is a boring one!! But at least I got a life!! =p

Well we didn't play Mahjong. But instead we played "AFC Match It" using mahjong tiles.

Dinner ~Domino~

Ordered two pizzas
Ordered a large chicken pepperoni.
Ordered a regular BBQ chicken
ORDERED ShinYi and ShiYun to come to B3 7 9 to eat Domino. Haha.
By the way.. the pizzas cost only RM32.80. Super damn cheap!!!

BBQ chicken.. Not bad not bad..

Pepperoni Chicken.. Okay..

I use this brand as it is the only one available in Carrefour..

After you have defrost the chicken, rinse it with hot water to remove the blood taste (according to my mum) I don't have enough hot water so I soak them in boiling water.

Put everything in a slow cooker..

Add water, soy sauce and oyster sauce..

Close the lid and cook for 3 to 4 hours.. Oh ya.. Remember to turn into "High" mode.. Don't use "auto" mode..

There you have it.. A nice yummy and easy to prepare chicken soup. Hehe
