Went to Singapore during my sem break and had a fantastic time there. The trip, different from any of the ones that I had gone before. It feels like I am participating the Amazing Race. This is because I had never walked and done so much activity in the span of 4 days!! Let me introduce the host and the participants of the race, shall we?

First and foremost, I would like to introduce my lovely Tour Guide How Pei Chun!! (a.k.a Xiao Hou - that is how we usually call our tour guides in China ^.^) She is also the money exchanger, money lender, boss, photographer and without her, the Singapore trip would not be a success!!

Editor's note : PC don't like taking photos. This individual photo of herself a RARE item!
Next is Tan Shi Yun, the simple but nice girl from Butterworth. Camera provider of the trip. Don't be tricked by her look. When it comes to play, she can do all the daring stuff even boys are scared to do!! Try racing with her and you will know what I mean. ^.^

This cute little girl here is Chew Jia Yun from Sungai Petani. Brought along her mum's W910i, she took almost whatever she sees during the trip. She gives you the feel that she is a real tourist. Had a lot of fun with her though.

This naughty and stubborn girl is Fu Chit Pei who hails from Johor Bahru. Youngest among us, she is a fun girl to play with!! Sampat like me, she can do almost anything out of your imagination. A mischievous girl, she did caused us MUCH trouble on the second day of our trip!! Can't tell you what she had done now but please stay tune to Hong's Little Diary to read about how she almost made us make a police report in Singapore!!
Well that's me at Sentosa Island. The one and only boy in the group. The lone ranger who traveled alone to Singapore from Teluk Intan on an 8 hour bus ride! Poor guy.. (slept on the bus the whole ride though) By the way, avoid traveling with this guy. He got some real bad luck with the public transport. Stay tune to see how bad luck one guy can get.

Editor's note: Another tourmate of us is Sushi Yong Chiew Shi. Didn't have her individual photo so can't upload her photo here. To see her lovely face, keep an eye on the photos at night.

Started the journey from Teluk Intan at 830pm. Reached Singapore at 4am and took Taxi to my uncle's house at Chao Chu Kang. Waited for PC's call to officially start Singapore trip as SY and JY will reach Larkin at about 8 or 9am. Their bus got delayed and then they had their first bad luck with bus. They were stuck at Singapore custom for almost an hour waiting for the bus. So at 1230pm only I received the SMS to go to Bugis Street. Feel lazy to type. Photos will do all the talking now.
There is no better way to start of your trip than praying at the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple at Waterloo Street, within a 5 minutes walking distance from Bugis Street. Said to be the oldest and wishes made in here come true, this place is always packed with visitors.
Sri Krishnan Temple located just beside the Kuan Yin Temple. Didn't go in to pray though because we are required to take off our shoes.
Stop guessing. He is real. Found him posing along the street to the temples. Donate SGD2 and he will move to greet you. Wanted to tickle the guy and see if he can withstand but was stopped by my tourmates.. But one thing I am amazed that you can't see his chest compressing and depressing while breathing and he doesn't seem to need to blink his eyes!! ( I timed him.. he didn't blink in 2 minutes!!!)
Parco Bugis Junction. Something like our Malaysia Petaling Street but it is covered by roof and AIR CONDITIONED!!! It is not infested with foreigners and you definitely don't have to worry about snatch thief!! Definitely a better place to walk than Petaling Street.
Old buildings renovated and converted into shopping malls. A mixture of old and new feel. Not a bad shopping mall. This is a must go place if you are visiting Singapore.
Dinner at Chinatown. A street with many stalls and shops selling all type of 'made in china' handicrafts and also handicrafts of Singapore. Nothing in particular interest me though. Was only thinking of FOOD then. Hehe. As you can see in the photo, that particular street sells many local delicacies. Had "ikan bakar", hot spicy "lala", "kueh kak" (carrot cake) and "tang yuen" for dinner. Nice meal and it is all under SGD10!!
After meal, we went to Clarke Quay for a River Taxi ride. Starting from Clarke Quay, it ends at the Merlion. On board the boat, I truly feel like I am a tourist coming from a far far away land. It is because in the boat I don't see any local people! The 5 of us were the only Chinese on board.
The Water Taxi ends here at the Merlion. Merlion is the landmark of Singapore. It is almost impossible to buy souvenirs of Singapore without having seen the half lion half fish creature.
After photographing session at the Merlion, it is time for a twenty minutes walk to Singapore Flyer, the lastest tourist attraction in Singapore. It is also proudly said to be the world's largest obeservation wheel. The building on the background is Esplanade. Looks like durian during day time.
Wonder why we had this sad face? When we reach there, the Ticket counter was CLOSED!!! We arrived there at 10.05pm and they were closed at 10pm. Just a 5 minute late!!! Walao.. damn sien that time!!! Finish work super on time. Start work lambat lambat.. >.<
Tire looking tourmates. Tour guide is rescheduling our trip. Had to change the plan as we now need to take the Singapore Flyer the next day. Something must be sacrifice.. I tell you.. It wasn't easy.
An exhausted Kok Hong sitting on the floor.. Ran out of battery at that time.. And that's the end of my first day in Singapore.

Well that's all folks for the first part of my trip.. I am pretty exhausted now as well.. ^.^
