Decided to blog this topic due to a request from my cute friend in UPM who missed the event. Won't be typing much about the event as I am quite lazy actually. But I will post photos with captions all right?
In short,
Bon Odori is like
Canteen Day during our school days minus the
coupons plus
super many people. (Kokhong's info) Hehe. Well for the
REAL info by
Wikipedia, please click
here. Enough typing.. let's begin with some tips when you are attending Bon Odori.
Bring along your family. If can ask your datuk, nenek ,"yi ma ku ceh" & "suk pak heng tai" also. Come in a pack. Big small all come. Hehe.
Don't have a family? No worries! Ask your gang to come along! Konica!!
Don't have friends? No worries! Go make friends with the clowns there. Just like those two guys there. ^.^ Say Cheese!!
Feel hungry? Get all types of Jap food at the stalls. But they don't come cheap. So be prepared to spend.
Sushi!! Gosh my stomach is growling as I am typing this blog..
Sotong bakar ala Jepun! (Japenese grilled squid) RM8 per piece. Didn't try them though. Expensive le.. (my stomach just growled again)
It is going to be stuffy and hot there. Don't worry. Relax, enjoy and have some Japenese ice cream.
After buying your food, find a spot and picnic there. But please mind your manners. People are watching. Don't follow the kid all right?
After eating, go to the field, enjoy the show, dance with the music and have fun!!
Pap! Pap! Pap! Come on folks!! Dance to the music! Just follow the performers step by step which is very very easy.
This is what it looks like at night. In the middle is the stage where we will dance in circle around the stage. Behind there is the food stalls. This photo is taken from the stands in the stadium. See how many people are there?Think I just go there to eat and dance? Well NO of course. Below are my other activities. Shashinwo torimasu! It means taking photograph in Japenese. Konica!!!
It was a reunion between MMU Cyber and MMU Melaka!! Happy to see Hwee Meng and Chiew Sze again.
"Otosan (Dad), I am camera shy" said the small kid as he covers his face..
"Daijoubu (It's okay), Otosan is here with you." Ahh.. Such loving dad.. Second taking. Uncle held his son's hand now and the photo looks perfect.
"Guai lou" in Japenese cloth? Nope. They are real Japenese from Tokyo. The lady is of Jap-US mixture. Nice and friendly couple.
Why is there a fan at everyone's butt??
Seriously I don't understand kids nowadays.. Haha. Look at how the uncle in blue singlet laughed at us! >.<
Malaysian Vs Japenese. Who do you think is the cutest of all? Be fair okay?
Okay forget about the previous photo. We have a WINNER here!! Lady with red.. ^.^Below is a short story of a Jap kid who is super shy and super THIRSTY as well.
"Konbawa, can we take a photo with you?" Boy said shyly, "Okay" in heavy Jap accent.
Guess he is really thirsty. Even when taking photo he is drinking!!!
Even after taking photo, he just continue to drink and drink and drink.
Finally he finishes.. And so is this blog.. Sayonara!!! Bye!!Credits to Alex, Yazi and Hwee Mengs for the photos.
