Spent my Fridays and Sundays watching the Malaysian Open 2008. So what did I do on Saturday? Well.. Did something that I didn't do long long time already.. SHOPPING!!! Weee!!! Went to 1U to shop for my CNY clothes.. Poor kid.. Only had time to shop after his exams. Spent a substantial amount of money on my clothes.. $$$ gone.. Heart pain.. Wallet got skinny.. But luckily can top up using Bank of Ng Family. Hehe.

After shopping, met up with AFC gang + SinYee (ChiewShi's hometown friend). We had agreed to go to Niu Ze Xui (Cow Car Water) at Ara Damansara. The place is like Petaling Street, with a lot of stalls and shops along the street, but it is more high class + clean and comfortable + NO GANGSTER.. The place can also be similarise with Bugis Street at Singapore. However, it is not as high class as Bugis Street (Bugis sells branded stuff, Niu Ze Xui sells cheap stuff) but it is still okay to me. It is quite a nice place to walk around and it also offers nice food.

Cut short the intro and let's go into the main frame, shall we?
The inside of Niu Ze Xui, Disney themed. Check out the Mickey Mouse lighthings on the roof.

Centerstage in Niu Ze Xui..

Mickey Mouse statue.. But one thing keeps bothering me. Why is the a big pillar in front of the Mickey Mouse?

Lots of Mickey Mouse on the roof.. N I C E ! ! !

See.. the stalls in Niu Ze Xui are pretty and nice. Nothing like the packed stalls of Petaling Street.

Fullhouse.. A really special restaurant. Too bad we can't get a nice table.. Sigh..
Well, the theme of Fullhouse is Family. It hopes to give its customer a feel of being at home. Thus there are several division in the restaurant like bedrooms, garden, living room, dining hall. So customer can choose which "room" they want to have their meals at. Special eh? Wait till you see the decorations.

An antique car parked at the porch of the "House". Cute eh? Bad news is.. it is not for you to eat there. Decoration purposes only. But if you can eat there it will be a special meal with your friends right?

The dining hall + living room.. Kawaii neh?

Hao Wei Dao.. Mixture of Chinese and Western food.. Something like Kim Gary.. Shall give it a 7/10 rating..

Decoration at the Disney Park.. Not sure what is inside.. RM10 entrance fee is needed. Decided not to further waste my already tight budget..

Mamma Mia in Niu Ze Xui? Nope. It is the "Pasar Seni"

Is this photo real or computer generated? See for yourself..

Tired people sitting at the bench "blowing water" at Cow Car Water

A human size nutcracker!!!

I am starting to feel weird. Why is there no photo of myself and others beside ChitPei? Okay okay.. Pattern photos coming up..

As always.. only ChitPei will accompany me doing such 38 stuff. Haha.

Smile!!! Think I want to audition to be the next Darlie ambassador.. Hehe

KokHong & Stitch! Movie in progress. Wait for it ya 0.<

Tada!! Pinocchio is coming to town!

ShiYun looks like kena xxx. Hehe. Oi VP and Eve!!! Give us more pattern le..

Rabbits..

Tulang with Tulang posing.. Had such hard time asking her to pose..

So that's the end of Niu Ze Xui.. But not the end of this blog.. After Ara Damansara it is time for supper at Murni!! Hahaha!!

Roti Dragon.. RM12.. Delicious but a bit expensive la..

Sedap sehingga mau makan sekarang le..

Honey dew shake.. RM5 per glass. But it is not as nice as my Manggo shake.

~Signing off with joy~
Cameron trip coming up next.. ^.^

Ahh.. Finally finish my final exams.. (1 week ago) Been super tired + stressful for the past two months.. It's time to play now.. In fact I just finish playing for a full week and I am still feeling tired now. Laugh too much + not enough sleep every night.

Friday was my bad day. 2 people "threw me aeroplane" in fact. One was for my lunch date and another was for my movie date. However it was somehow my fault so .. Hehe. All smiles now. Never plan or wanted to watch badminton as it was not my thing. However out of boredom and to avoid being alone in hostel, decided to join ChiewShi and ShiYun to watch badminton. I was in Alamanda watching Bedtime Stories at that time, though. With some "suprising" people.

Spent RM50 to buy two tickets. RM15 for Friday's quarterfinals tickets and RM35 for Sunday's finals. Worth every cent? To ChiewShi is a DEFINITELY YES but to ChitPei and me is a bit "rugi".. Our "spirit" were flying during the ladies' matches. Hehe. However we do enjoy some part of the match. ^.^

This is the look inside the indoor stadium of Bukit Jalil. In my opinion, I think it is more "untung" watching Quarterfinals than the Finals. Reason? Simple enough. You get to watch 4 matches simultaneously instead of ONE match. Plus, you still get to see those people who couldn't get into the finals. SPECIALLY dedicated to KKK + TBH. (ChiewShi don't kill me ya =p) Oh ya, and the handsome Peter Gade too. ^^

After Men's single, we decided to change our seat to a more middle seat. Almost like what you watch on television huh?

If you don't know who is playing and the current score, there is this big screen to show you. It is really REALLY big.. At least bigger than my home television. =p

So how big it is exactly? Have a look for yourself then..

Enough of the courts.. Let's have a look of the fans inside the stadium shall we?

Introducing..
Our Malaysian Super Big Badminton Fan Club!!! (Created the name myself.. Don't know if they have such a name or not. =p) These people are just so so so so so SEMANGAT ! ! !
Equipped with kompang, flags, whistle, T-shirts and most important --> SEMANGAT 120%. Whenever there is a Malaysian on the court, they just go crazy with their cheers and kompangs. What's more is that they also bring up the atmosphere in the stadium making each and everyone cheer, shout, clapped, jumped, sing, scream. Even the sleeping Ng Kok Hong have no choice but to join the crowd in the ecstasy mode. You should have feel for yourself the atmosphere in the stadium during the ChongWei's finals match. The crowd just go crazy each time he scored a point!!

Looks familiar? Who is she? ChiewShi a.k.a. Balloon DESTROYER!!! She crushed/destroyed/damaged 3 pairs of balloon on the first day itself. (Ganas tahap giler!!!) Meanwhile.. ShiYun, ChitPei and me had no problem with our balloons.. Hehe.
Kata - kata semangat ChiewShi :
加油加油 ! 不要放弃 !
慢慢来, 不要紧张 !

PakCik Supporter Nombor SATU Negara!! If you had watched much Malaysian matches before this, you may have heard of his "Malaysia Boleh" cheers. Oh ya.. Look closer at his name tag. It is stated "Supporter".

Tired + Hungry of typing already. DimSum break 15 minutes ya..

Eating..

Munching...

Swallowing..

Nice DimSum? Hehe. That's in Sri Petaling. Had a DimSum breakfast with VinYee on Sunday.

Some notes from the Malaysian Open Finals 2008.
See the girl in Purple Tshirt? That's SinYee. ChiewShi's hometown friend. Sweet looking and kind of quiet. But I don't think she is a quiet type. She just need time to open herself up. Just look at the girl in blue now.. Her pattern is almost comparable to CP and me already.. =p And thanks VinYee for being the tour guide in Sri Petaling!!!

Aktiviti syok - sendiri pada waktu menunggu permainan bermula..

That was where I sit during the Quaterfinals.

Game ON!!! Lee Chong Wei Vs Park Sung Hwan (I don't know who he is, seriously)

And the score.. WOOTTT!!!! Lee Chong Wei won!!! (expected of the Jaguh Kampuing though =p)

The jubilant ChongWei hugging his coach Misbun Sidek after winning the match..

All in all, the experience of watching badminton 'live' is really something that I would treasure. I don't think I would watch a match live if not for the always-full-of-semangat-ChiewShi. N I C E memory to be stored in my memories..

~Signing off from Stadium Bukit Jalil~

Was supposed to post this blog 2 months ago during the beginning of the semester. However due to some unforeseen circumstances.. it was canceled but NOW revived back.. Hehe. Edited some parts of this blog entry as it is not relevant as at today anymore.

So what's up for grabs? Well I shall list down all the places of interest that is available in Perak and you can see for yourself which one interest you..

Pulau Pangkor
The most attractive islands of Perak, Pangkor has sandy beaches with lots of water activities. Among them are snorkelling, banana boat, boat tour at the sea, jet skiing or just "syok sendiri " at the beach. For those adventurous kids, you can try WALKING to another ISLAND. Yup. You can actually WALK to an opposite small island at Nipah Bay during low tides. Warning : you must be of minimum height 160cm to walk across ^.^ Or you can cycle around the island and enjoy the scenery. Oh ya. There are many nice places for you to take your photographs as well. Accomodation is not expensive but food maybe a problem. Only Malay food is available near hotels and Chinese food is available at small town. (You will need to drive there and the thing is.. you CANT drive to Pangkor. You will need to rent a car or motorcyle) Anyway that should not be a problem if you are looking for fun water activities at beaches.

Remarks : ALL photos shown in this blog are old photos of me with my friends.

My favourite activity.. SNORKELING

Have fun in the beach.. Syok sendiri la tu..

Just some normal posing on the beach.. See how everyone is wearing the same colour T shirt? Hehe.. Just can't wait for my AFC T shirt already..

You can also take nice photos in the various nice scenery on the island..

Just look at me during my younger days.. Feel like wana slap me? Wait till you see my next photo.

Okay.. Give me a tight slap now. Haha

Gua Tempurung
Located near Gopeng, Gua Tempurung is probably the largest natural limestone structure in Malaysia. You will get to see majestic white marble and limestone towers. Gua Tempurung is definitely a place for thrill seekers where you will walk, climb, crawl, slide, and "swim" through the 1.9km of the cave. I am planning to take on the "Gua Tempurung Grand Tour" (most expensive and longest of all) where we will make a river entrance through the cave and back which is priced at RM22 per person. Did I mentioned that the whole journey will need 3 hours? Well since we may not be going there again, why don't we max out our time there? ^.^ I am sure you will be dead tired after that.
Warning : You will be all wet (from head to toe) after the activities and there are some parts of the journey where it will be total BLACKOUT. You will need to "touch" and "feel" your way through. A serious briefing will be needed beforehand.

Tambun
This place is famous for its pamelo but that will not be the reason to visit the place. The Lost World of Tambun (similar to Sunway Lagoon) is the second water themepark by Sunway group. Pros of this place is that there is hot water section (sometime like sauna in Japenese movie/dramas - open air type) but the cons is that there is no "dry" themepark like Sunway Lagoon. It is located near Ipoh so if you get bored while in Ipoh you can choose to play here.

Lata Kinjang
Waterfall.. A really nice place to relax yourself if you are having tension doing assignments or having exams. Cold water and marvelous scenery to take photo, I would really want to visit this place again. What to play there? Hmm.. Lemme think.. Water.. Water.. and more water? Haha. Just like any other waterfalls, you need to "syok sendiri" to enjoy yourself. I think we are good at that eh AFC high coms? =p

The lower part of the waterfall..

The upper part of the waterfall as you climb up the hill..

Okay.. Enough of playing. What is there to eat?
Adui.. sabarlah.. tau u orang ni hantu lapar.. ^.^

Ipoh
Been to Old Town Coffeeshop? Well that is some kind of feel that Ipoh provides you with. Being an ex tin mining town, Ipoh was developed by the British back in the colonial days. So Ipoh town itself is historic with many old buildings. Ipoh doesn't really have much to play or visit. But one thing for sure, it has many caves to visit. Among the popular ones are Sam Poh Tung, Perak Tong and Kek Lok Tong. Both of these caves are caves to worship Chinese Gods and Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin) with a lot of nice scenery to take your photograph. (Good for blogging ^.^) But the main attraction of Ipoh is all its nice food! Warning : Those who are dieting are asked to stop reading now. Curry mee, Chicken Hor Fun (Kai Sze Hor Fun), Hakka Mee, Beef noodle, Prawn Mee, Kangkung Sotong, Chicken with noodles and beansprout (Nga Choi Kai), Chee Cheong Fun, Salted Chicken (Yim Kuk Kai), roasted duck, Pasir Pinji Yong Tao Fu, dim sum, claypot chicken rice, and seriously.. there are still a LOT more to type here.. and I am hungry already. Jackie will be the Ipoh tourguide.

Kelly's Castle. Another attraction situated near Ipoh.

Kampar
For your information, this is where UTAR is located. But it is a super small town. Its town centre are only two streets with no shopping mall. Tetapi, seperti kata - kata orang tua, kecil - kecil cili tetapi pedas juga rasanya. Kampar is famous for its Chicken Bread. As big as the size of a book, the bread is unique as you can have a choice of Curry Chicken or "Yok Choi" (Chinese herbs) as the fillings. However the fillings are not like your "roti kaya" where the fillings are mixed with the bread. The fillings are cooked beforehand and wrapped in paper. Then bread dough are wrapped all over the paper and baked. Kampar is also famous for its Claypot Chicken Rice. Oh ya. There is also "Chu Kai Pang".. Oopss.. "Kai Chai Pang" (Chicken Biscuit)

Chicken bread..

Teluk Intan
Well, that's my hometown. Woo Hoo!!! Bangga!!! It is a small town and there is really nothing much place to visit here. But Teluk Intan is famous for its Leaning Clock Tower. Nicknamed Pisa Tower of Malaysia, the clock tower is originally built to store water. However due to the unstable ground, the tower started leaning to the left. Then the tank is emptied and the tower is finally stabilised. Just like Ipoh, Teluk Intan is also famous for its food. The most prominent is its Chee Cheong Fun. Different from any Chee Cheong fun that you ever had, Teluk Intan's Chee Cheong Fun doesn't have any sauce to go with. It is a really delicious breakfast and it is a unique food of Teluk Intan. You can't find it in any other places in Malaysia. Other recommended food are "Heong Peah" (fragment biscuit or biskut wangi), glutunious rice (Lou Mai Fan in Cantonese), "Lou Shu Fun" (Mee Tikus), Mee Rebus, Rojak (featured at Ho Chiak before), Char Keow Teow (different from those you get in Penang)

Lou Shu Fun.. Finished selling by 730am.. Please wake up early if you want to eat it ya..

The Leaning Clock Tower.. It is really "senget" de le..

From the back view..

A closer look..

(Purposely left this part unedited)

Received a message from Hotlink today saying that my expiry date is 02.02.2010. 2010 le.. 13 months later le.. Wakaka. Nope. I didn't buy the 365 days package. I got it for FREE! Yup. Totally free of charge. How I get it? Wait la.. Telling you now.

On 3/1/2009, I read The Star newspaper after dinner. There was an advertisement stating that if you top up at least RM33 on that day, you will receive one-year validity period for FREE!! It was near my expiry date anyway so I dashed out with my car to the nearest top up centre and top up RM33... And now I don't have to top up anymore until next year!! Weeee!!!! H A P P Y ! ! !

Why didn't I tell you? Well, wanted to tell all my Hotlink friends but then after I topped up, it says that my account will be expired by 02.02.2009. So I thought, "walao.. stupid Hotlink cheat me!!!" Then I just forget the matter all together. Manatau is Hotlink NOOB. So slow only give me my free gift. Haha. Happy. Thanks Hotlink!! You have at least contributed RM200 to my Consolidated Bali Trip Fund 2010!! Wee!!!

REMARKS : The offer was valid ONLY on 3/1/2009.

Another story
Rice uncle was late today. Seriously late.. He was half an hour late. But don't now why I was not angry at all. Maybe I am in a good mood. VinYee however came close to cursing and swearing him. (she DID cursed and sweared Uncle after seeing the dishes of the day though) Then when I take my rice, the below conversation took place.

Uncle : If I give you rice got people eat ma?
I wanted to say NO, but then my mouth said.. "Okay a.. Got people eat de la.. Hehe."

He then gave me an extra pack of rice, well of course for FREE. Haha. Oh ya.. Wanted to give it to Winson but then he ordered pizza. So I thought, well since I need to eat supper anyway.. why not eat 2 packs of rice now? Haha. I was so hungry that I finished two packs of rice in 15 minutes.

Today's dishes : Japenese Tofu, "ku lok yuk" and "I-don't-know-what-vegetable"

Thanks again Uncle!! You contributed RM3.30 to my Consolidated Bali Trip Fund 2010!! Woo hoo!!!

Current mood : Super full, happy and can't wait for 12pm tomorrow!! Lalalala~~

So 2009 has just arrived.. People seem to be making wishes or resolution at the beginning of a new year. Some promised to get a new job. Some said they will quit smoking. Well for me, new year doesn't bring me anything special. It's just another day for me.. Spent time driving my Lamborghini Gallardo in Need For Speed Undercover while my friends are out celebrating.. Sigh.. Couldn't comment much on that. Local uni friends had all went back. Supposed to countdown with someone.. But then.. *Sigh and resulting in 1 dog and 1 pig being hearted-broken..
